Although modern technology gives us capability to use motors, remote-control systems, GPS, and other means to replace water as a means to transport waste away from living areas, we also have developed manual systems of achieving these same life-saving, water-saving goals. Since some of the most dire sanitation situations are in third world countries and other developing areas, manual systems for moving waste away from communities are the most practical, and these systems and methods can be implemented easily and extremely inexpensively.
In addition to these manual systems which can be run by hand, they can be upgraded with simple, small motors to assist with certain functions in the system. All variations can be scaled accordingly to size, cost and availability.
We are developing new videos describing these systems, which will be available in early 2016. Please return soon to learn more about these manual systems to replace water.
